Welcome to Midnight Sakura, a peaceful Japanese-inspired painting experience at Colourful Wine Art Café & Bar, where deep night blues, soft pink blossoms, moonlight and reflections come together to create a striking evening landscape.

This relaxed Paint and Sip has been designed for beginners, so you don’t need any painting experience to join us.

We’ll guide you step by step while still giving you plenty of freedom to choose your colours, add your own details and make your finished painting uniquely yours.

Paint Your Own Midnight Sakura

Midnight Sakura takes inspiration from the beauty of cherry blossoms beneath a glowing night sky.

You’ll build your painting gradually, beginning with the deep blue background before creating layers of colour and light across the sky and water.

From there, we’ll add the moon, silhouetted landscape, delicate sakura branches and soft pink blossoms to bring the scene together.

The finished artwork may look detailed, but we’ll break the process into manageable stages so you can relax and enjoy creating it.

Create Midnight Sakura Your Way

Your Midnight Sakura painting doesn’t have to look exactly like ours.

Make your sky darker and moodier or introduce brighter blues and purples. Add more blossoms, change their shades of pink, adjust your reflections or personalise the branches and landscape.

Our sample artwork will be there for inspiration and we’ll guide you throughout the session, but part of the fun is seeing how differently everyone’s painting turns out.

By the end of the evening, you’ll have your own version of Midnight Sakura to take home.

We’ll guide you through techniques such as blending your night sky, creating soft reflections, painting simple branches and building layers of delicate cherry blossoms.

Come on your own, bring a friend, plan a date night or gather a group for a creative night out.

Colourful Wine is a fully licensed Art Café & Bar, so you can order food and drinks during your session.

Choose from wine, cocktails, beer and non-alcoholic options, along with coffee and food from our café and bar menu.

Food and drinks are purchased separately and are not included in your Paint and Sip ticket.
