You’ll make one soy candle and one 200ml reed diffuser, learning about the different materials and processes along the way.

No previous candle making or fragrance experience is required.

We’ll guide you through each stage, provide all the materials and equipment you need, and help you create a fragrance set you’ll be excited to use at home.

Create Your Own Home Fragrance Set

There’s something special about fragrance.

A familiar scent can completely change the feeling of a room, create a sense of calm or instantly bring back a memory.

During our Home Fragrance Workshop, you’ll create two different products designed to bring your chosen fragrance into your home in different ways.

You’ll make:

• One soy candle
• One 200ml reed diffuser

Choose the same fragrance for both to create a beautifully coordinated set, or explore the available fragrances before deciding what suits you.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll have two handmade home fragrance products created by you.

Make Your Own Soy Candle

We’ll begin by introducing you to the candle-making process.

You’ll learn how the different components of a candle work together and why details such as wax, fragrance and temperature matter when creating a candle.

We’ll guide you through preparing your candle vessel and working with soy wax before adding your selected fragrance.

You’ll learn how fragrance is incorporated into the wax and how to pour your candle carefully to create a clean, even result.

Your candle then needs time to cool and set.

There’s no need to have any candle-making experience before attending — we’ll take you through the process step by step.

Create Your Reed Diffuser

You’ll also create your own 200ml reed diffuser.

Reed diffusers are a simple way to add continuous fragrance to a room without needing a flame.

We’ll explain how the diffuser base works, how fragrance is added and how the reeds gradually distribute the scent into the surrounding space.

You’ll prepare your own diffuser using your selected fragrance and assemble it ready to take home.

We’ll also explain how to use your diffuser effectively, including reed placement and how rotating the reeds can refresh the fragrance.

Choose a Fragrance You Love

Choosing your fragrance is one of the most enjoyable parts of the workshop.

Rather than everyone creating exactly the same product, you’ll be able to explore our available fragrance selection and choose the scent that feels right for you.

We’ll give you time to explore the fragrances before making your selection.

Caring for Your Handmade Candle

Your freshly poured candle needs time before its first burn.

We’ll explain the recommended curing period during the workshop and give you guidance on caring for your candle once you take it home.

Proper candle care can help your candle burn more evenly and perform at its best.

We’ll also explain simple practices such as wick care and safe candle use so you can enjoy your handmade creation properly.

Please don’t be tempted to light your new candle the moment you get home — giving it time to cure is an important final part of the candle-making process.

Using Your Reed Diffuser at Home

We’ll also explain how to get the most from your handmade diffuser.

Once set up at home, the reeds absorb the fragranced diffuser mixture and gradually release the scent into the room.

The strength of the fragrance can be influenced by factors such as the number of reeds used, room size, airflow and how often the reeds are rotated.

We’ll give you simple instructions so you know how to set it up and maintain it.

Then all that’s left is deciding which room deserves it.
