Looking for a Paint and Sip in Sydney with a contemporary twist?

Welcome to Urban Haze, a relaxed painting experience at Colourful Wine Art Café & Bar inspired by city lights, reflections and the atmospheric colours of an urban landscape.

Layers of soft greys, blues, whites and warm highlights come together to create an abstract cityscape that looks striking on the wall — without requiring complicated painting techniques.

No painting experience is needed. We’ll guide you step by step while giving you plenty of freedom to experiment with colour, texture and your own creative style.

Create Your Own Atmospheric Cityscape

Urban Haze is all about building layers.

You’ll start by creating an atmospheric background before gradually adding colour, texture, vertical forms and reflections to suggest a city emerging through the haze.

Rather than worrying about perfectly drawn buildings or precise details, you’ll work with expressive brushstrokes and layered colour to create the feeling of an urban landscape.

It’s an enjoyable painting to create because there really is no single “perfect” result.

Make Urban Haze Your Own

Your city doesn’t need to look exactly like ours.

Make it darker and moodier, introduce warmer highlights, add more blues or keep your palette soft and neutral.

Our sample artwork will be there for inspiration and we’ll guide you through the techniques, but you’ll have plenty of room to experiment.

The result will be your own contemporary cityscape — and everyone’s finished painting will look a little different.

Urban Haze is particularly beginner-friendly because the artwork is built through colour, layering and expressive brushwork rather than detailed drawing.

We’ll break the painting into manageable stages and guide you throughout the session.

Come on your own, bring a friend, plan a date night or gather a group for a relaxed creative night out.

Colourful Wine is a fully licensed Art Café & Bar, so food and drinks are available to purchase throughout your session.

Choose from wine, cocktails, beer and non-alcoholic options, along with coffee and food from our café and bar menu.

Food and drinks are purchased separately and are not included in your Paint and Sip ticket.
